From installation to a submitted application

The whole workflow takes about ten minutes the first time. After that, every certificate or renewal is a single click followed by a quick review.

Install the extension

Open the Chrome Web Store listing for RTPS Bihar Autofill and click Add to Chrome. A confirmation appears; accept it and the extension icon shows up next to the address bar. Pin it so it stays visible.

Open an RTPS service

Click the extension icon. The panel lists Residence, Caste and Income certificates directly. Character, NCL Bihar, NCL Central and EWS are grouped under Additional RTPS Services. Each button opens the correct application page on serviceonline.bihar.gov.in.

Fill one form, then save it

The first time, complete an official application manually — or simply open the form and type your details without submitting. Then open the extension and choose Save Form. Give the profile a name such as "Self" or "Father". Everything you entered is stored in your browser's local storage.

Reuse it with Open and Fill

For any later application, select the saved profile in the extension and press Open and Fill. The official form opens with your details already written into the matching fields. Review the filled form, attach documents, pay the portal fee if applicable, and submit.

Manage and protect profiles

Create as many profiles as family members you apply for. Export a profile to a file to move it to another computer, and import it there. Delete profiles you no longer need — nothing is retained anywhere once you do.

How the premium services work

Character, NCL Bihar, NCL Central and EWS run on the same extension, with account access managed on this website:

  • Click the service in the extension; it opens this website
  • Create an account with name, email and password; verify with a six-digit code
  • Choose Monthly or Yearly and pay by UPI
  • Send the payment reference; access is activated after verification
  • Return to the extension; the premium services now open directly

Good to Know

Small habits that avoid rework

  • 1. Match spellings to your Aadhaar and earlier certificates — autofill repeats exactly what you save.
  • 2. Review the filled form once before paying any portal fee — you remain the one who submits.
  • 3. Keep an exported copy of important profiles if you clear browser data regularly.
