The problem we set out to solve

Bihar's Right to Public Services portal puts essential certificates online, which is genuine progress. But each application asks for dozens of fields — name in two scripts, parents' details, address with district, block and police station, document numbers — and almost all of it repeats from one application to the next. Add a strict session timer, and a normal family applying for residence, caste and income certificates ends up typing the same facts a dozen times.

We are developers from Bihar. The obvious fix was a browser extension that remembers the facts once and writes them where they belong. That is the entire product: nothing clever happens behind the scenes, and nothing needs to.

What we believe

Three decisions shaped everything you see on this site and in the extension:

• Your form data belongs on your device. Saved profiles live in your browser's local storage. We never upload caste, income or address details, and there is no server that could leak them.
• You stay the applicant. The extension fills fields; it never submits for you and never pays portal fees on your behalf. Every application goes out only after you have reviewed it.
• Honest scope. We cannot influence certificate approval — that rests with the RTPS authorities. We remove the typing, not the process.

Independence, stated plainly

RTPS Bihar Autofill is independent software. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Government of Bihar, the RTPS division or serviceonline.bihar.gov.in. All certificates are issued solely by the competent government authorities. If any government body asks us to change how the tool works, we will comply.

How the project is run

The extension is maintained by a small team. Free services fund themselves through the paid tier: if you need Character, NCL or EWS autofill, your subscription pays for the servers that keep Premium accounts running and for the time spent updating field mappings when the portal changes. Free users are not the product — there is nothing to sell, because there is nothing stored.

Where we are headed

Near-term plans are unglamorous and deliberate: track every layout change on the portal so autofill keeps matching, support more Chromium browsers, and keep the profile format stable so an export from today still imports years from now. Feature creep is the enemy of a tool you trust with sensitive details.
